2022 Holstein Highlights in Ballarat
The 2022 Holstein Highlights Dinner was held on Wednesday, 14th September at the Mercure Ballarat Hotel and Convention Centre.
The event was the first in-person Awards Dinner Holstein Australia has hosted in three years, so it was wonderful to see many familiar faces in the room to celebrate some of our best cows and breeders and their achievements.
The lead-up to the Holstein Highlights Dinner saw attendees treated to an on-farm visit at the Master Breeder 'Kelenmar' herd, hosted by Kerri Gallagher and family. This was followed by a visit to Trigg's Farm. Many thanks to Kerri and Trigg's Farm for hosting our group - we appreciate your efforts!
The Holstein Highlights Dinner provided a great opportunity for connection and celebration of the achievements of the past year - including the Young Breeder's School team who recently returned from Belgium.
The Holstein Australia Cow of the Year was announced - with Clydebank Allen Leonie-ET EX94-2E 6*, owned and bred by Ross and Linda Somerville of Clydebank Holsteins, being confirmed as the 2022 winner.
Acknowledgements of the latest recipients of the prestigious Master Breeder Award were presented. Congratulations to each of the recipients of this outstanding achievement.
