2024 COMPETITIONS & AWARDS DEADLINES

A reminder to Holstein Australia members, that the deadlines of the Semex Holstein Australia All Australian Photographic Competition and Cow of the Year have been moved forward this year. See below all the key details you need to keep in mind for entering these great competitions in 2024:

SEMEX HOLSTEIN AUSTRALIA ALL AUSTRALIAN PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION

This national photographic competition recognising excellence in conformation and showing.

Please note, for 2024 ONLY the Victorian Winter Fair will not be a qualifying show for the All Australian Photographic competition. Consequently, entries qualifying for the All Australian Photographic competition from the 2024 Victorian Winter Fair, will be eligible for the 2025 competition, so please keep this in mind when showing and photographing your cows.

COW OF THE YEAR 

Recognises all-round excellence in production, classification, breeding and overall contribution to the Australian Holstein breed. 

Note that the deadline for the Cow of the Year competition has been extended to 30 June 2024.

MASTER BREEDER AWARD

Recognises the long-term achievement of individuals who have bred at least 300 registered animals over a minimum of 20 years. 

Members can request a search on their behalf to determine if they qualify for Master Breeder.

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD

Recognising sustained commitment over an extended period to Holstein Australia, both within and beyond the member's designated role. 

Nominations for a Distinguished Service Award in 2024 open on Thursday, 1st February 2024.
