AGM, Board & BDCC Nominations
Hybrid format for Holstein Australia AGM
Following positive member feedback to Holstein Australia’s first virtual Annual General Meeting last year and with continuing state and regional COVID restrictions, the 2021 AGM will be a hybrid event, streamed online with an option for members to attend in person (pending COVID restrictions at the time) .
The AGM will be held at Dairy House in Melbourne on Thursday 14th October with members welcome to attend in person. Invitations will be sent to all members in September, with the option of attending online.
Holstein Australia CEO, Rohan Butler, says: “The feedback from many members who attended last year’s AGM, some of them for the first time, was that the online option allowed them to participate when they usually would not have been able to due to time constraints and travel restrictions.
“Of course what we miss out on is the social element, which we are all feeling the lack of after the last eighteen months. Usually we’d have three or four days of activities around the AGM, including the National Awards Dinner. Unfortunately this won’t be possible again this year, but we plan to hold a small social event and tour of AgriBio for those members who attend in person, subject obviously to any restrictions in place at the time.”
While a date has yet to be set for the National Awards Dinner, a number of options are being considered including an event at IDW next January.
