All Australian to go ahead!
Despite the recent COVID-19 restrictions cancelling Royal and local shows in the back half of the competition year the Semex-Holstein Australia All-Australian Photographic Competition will still go ahead.
Holstein Australia COO, David Jupp, says the “All-Australian” is one of the most prestigious awards for members and showcases the best Holsteins shown around the country year-on-year, forming a record of the best of breed for current and future generations.
"It’s a major achievement to qualify and the place-getters are up there with the best in the world. If you have shown Holsteins during the current competition year I would encourage you to enter,” says David.
“With a halt put on all shows since March due to COVID-19 restrictions, we’re really keen to attract as many entries as possible to showcase the best of the Holstein breed as we do each competition.”
Well known to many members, the Semex-Holstein Australia All-Australian Photographic competition recognises excellence in conformation and showing and is open to all Holstein Australia Herdbook and Appendix 1,2 and 3 females that have been successfully shown since July 2019.
To enter simply download the entry form and competition rules, making sure to complete your animal’s Herdbook number, class entered and qualifying show and submit the entry along with your photo.
All entries must be submitted by 30 June 2020. Digital entries can be emailed to dworth@holstein.com.au.
Entry forms can also be posted to Holstein Australia, All-Australian Competition, AgriBio, 5 Ring Road, Bundoora, VIC 3083. Please note that if you are posting entries allow plenty of time before the 30 June cut-off date due to Australia Post delays.
