COVID-19 event & activity guidelines
With the Semex-Holstein Australia On-Farm Competition underway and Sub-branch events and activities being planned for the months ahead here is a handy guide for event organisers and participants.
State Government restrictions
State Government restrictions vary widely throughout Australia, with New South Wales and Victoria currently under Stage 4 restrictions and all other states at Stage 1. Restriction levels can change rapidly. The links below are regularly updated and provide information on current restrictions in each state.
- Victoria – COVIDSafe settings
- NSW – COVID-19 rules
- QLD – COVID-19 restrictions
- SA – Current activity restrictions
- WA – COVID-19 updates
- TAS – Current restrictions
All Holstein Australia sanctioned events, including the Semex-Holstein Australia On-Farm Competition, must be carried out in accordance with state and federal government restrictions in place at the time of the event or farm visit.
On-Farm Competition Judges
Holstein Australia recommends that Sub-branches use judges from within their own state or region for this year’s competition due to state border closures, inter and intra-state travel restrictions and quarantine requirements for inter-state travellers in many states. You can search for judges in your state on our National Judges Panel page on the HA website.
Common sense guidelines
In line with the Dairy Australia Stay COVID Safe guidelines Holstein Australia recommends that when visiting a member farm or receiving visitors to your farm:

- Check in and check out; either QR code if available or sign in leaving your name and mobile number
- Stay 1.5m apart
