Distinguished Service Awards 2024
Established in 2012 the distinguished service awards acknowledges those members who have given valuable service to the Association at the local and state level over a long and sustained period.
This year, we are thrilled to recognise the following outstanding individuals:
- Anne Daley, Misty Glen, Queensland
- Amanda Pacitti, Misty Brae Holsteins, South Australia
- Graeme Joiner, Coldara Holsteins, Victoria
Anne Daley
Anne Daley’s long-standing contribution as secretary and treasurer of the Atherton & North Queensland Sub-Branch.
During this time Anne has also been a key driver in new initiatives for youth programs. Anne is well-known for her exemplary record keeping and photography, so if you are looking for history, then Anne is the person who can help.
Anne’s contribution to the educational camps is exemplary, from seeking sponsorship, organising programs, keeping everyone in line and making sure every young person attending these camps takes something special away with them.
Anne has also been the instigator and organiser of many Holstein Sub-Branch activities such as 50 years of Holsteins and the Atherton & North Queensland Sub-branch Centenary Celebrations. Congratulations Anne Daley.
Amanda Pacitti
Known to all as Mandy, Holstein Australia recognised Mandy’s life-long contribution to everything Holstein and all things Dairy.
Mandy has been a sub-branch committee member since 2001, National promotions goods officer for 4 years, national youth camp coordinator for 2 years, IDW challenge coordinator for 4 years, twice National AGM coordinator, South Australian youth camp coordinator for 20 years, SA youth challenge team coordinator for 12 years, SA Holstein breeders national calendar coordinator for 10 years, SA administrator for Facebook page for 11 years, sub-branch marketing and promotions officer and sub-branch fundraising officer.
Mandy is also a consistent contributor to many regional dairy cattle shows. She shows leadership qualities and encouragement to women to be part of the dairy industry and is a Power of Women award recipient.
Mandy has also been the regional Cows Create Careers Coordinator for 16 years, and is the dairy products councillor and Holstein feature breed show coordinator for the Royal Adelaide Show. Congratulations Mandy!
Graeme Joiner
Graeme, who started registering and classifying cattle in 1969, was presented with his Distinguished Service Award the Northern Victoria sub-branch meeting on the last Friday in October. He is a Sub-branch life member.
Among Graeme's achievements are being a member of the general committee for 18 years, Shepparton Show alternate delegate for 4 years, Stanhope field days sub-committee member for 6 years, sub-branch sale and IDW inspector, Victorian Branch and alternate delegate for a total of 16 years and Sub-branch President for 2 years.
He has also been a sponsor as well long time host and driver for Northern Victoria's always well subscribed Semex On Farm Competition, as well as hosting sub-branch Christmas parties, Judging Schools, youth training days and supplying heifers for the Holstein Australia IDW Youth Challenge for 8 years.
