Eagle Ridge tops $8,500
The Eagle Ridge Dispersal sale kicked off last Friday at Shepparton Selling Centre with all late autumn and early winter calving heifers on offer.
Eagle Ridge Master Breeders sold 56 heifers with an average of $3,677.
Topping the sale at $8,500 was Lot 1 heifer Eagle Ridge Tatoo B Pauline who sold in calf to sexed King Doc to return buyers Luccombe Holsteins of Finley, NSW. She is from a VG88 Brokaw dam with 551 kgs fat backed up by 2 more generations of EX dams.
Eagle Ridge Fierce GC Pauline who is also in calf to sexed King Doc was the second highest seller of the day at $6,250. She descends from a VG88 Gold Chip dam with the 2nd dam over 430 kgs fat. She sold to return buyer M Adams of Stoney Creek who picked up a few heifers including Eagle Ridge Doc F Pollyanna; a heifer from a Fever dam with 531 kgs fat for $5,250 and Eagle Ridge Rambo GWA Polly; a heifer in calf to sexed Select for $5,200. She is from a VG89 dam and the next dam an EX92 Shottle.
Other noted sales include Eagle Ridge Lambda CEO Polka for $5,500. She is a granddaughter of a 616 kg fat Atwood and was snapped up by return buyers Eloora Past Co of Blighty, NSW.
D & J Custance of Nyora took home Eagle Ridge 1st Grade C Kate in calf to sexed King Doc. She is from a VG87 dam with the grand dam a Vindicate daughter with 554 kgs fat.
Selling agents Dairy Livestock Services report buyers came from most parts of Victoria along with NSW & QLD.
