Eclipse Genetics Dispersal Sale tops $16,000
A large crowd gathered on a wet wintery-like day for the exciting Eclipse Dispersal Series 1 sale which was held on Monday 7th December.
The tone was set early by the famed Princess family with lot 5, Eclipse Solomon 9 Princess topping the sale at $16,000 to the Princess Syndicate of Gippsland.
Her maternal sister Eclipse All The Way O Princess who went VG85 as a 2-year-old sold to the Gleeson family of Elm Banks Holsteins for $10,000.
Coming in at the second top price for $10,500 was lot 38’s Eclipse Pierce Silver 4157; a direct daughter of Larcrest Cardigan. This classy VG87 point second calved cow sold to Peter Fullerton of Nirranda South.
Her daughter by the high type bull Aristocrat sold to Cooriemungle Holdings, Timboon of the Hibberd family for $7000.
The Princess family shined bright once again, offering the first ever Red & White family member to the auction block; Lot 14’s tremendous heifer Eclipse Altitude Jordy Princess Red. This super correct yearling heifer sold to Anthony Peatling for $9,400.
The sale was live-streamed on Auctions Plus which proved to be a strong vocal point throughout the sale.
Monday’s sale was a great result. Elders were extremely excited and proud to be a part of such a wonderful event.
