Holstein Australia Member Photo Competition

Holstein Australia invites members to submit their photos to this brand new  photo competition to show case the best of the Holstein breed, where our members work, the products they make, and the Holstein community.

Entries now close 9am Tuesday 9th March due to public holidays in some states

Holstein Australia CEO, Rohan Butler, says the competition has been inspired by some of the great photographs we’ve seen of members, their animals and their farms on social media.

“When you look at the photographs posted on social media by our members you can really see that they know how to capture their passion for the breed, for family, for the communities they live and work in and the sense of pride in what they do, which is something we both want to share and recognise,” says Rohan.

Competition categories are:

• Morning & evening - Amazing sunrises and sunsets are the obvious choice, of course with a bit of ‘black and white’ theme.
• Working hard - Capturing the long hours, hard yakka and essential jobs of life on a dairy farm.
• What we make - From raw milk to finished dairy products and everything in between.
• Holstein Youth - From kids on the farm and behind the scenes at a show to the next generation learning the ropes.
• Holstein Community - Capturing the human side of the passion we all share for the breed.

Entries open Friday 12^th February and close Sunday 7^th March. Photographs entered do not need to have been taken during the competition entry period. If you have a recent favourite photograph that fits one of our competition categories this can be entered.

The top 10 photographs in each category will be selected by our judges panel and then featured on our Facebook and Instagram pages. A grand prize of a new digital SLR camera will be presented to the entrant who HA judges deem to be the most outstanding  photo of the competition. Category winners will receive a Holstein Australia merchandise prize pack.

How to enter

Entrants can submit up to 3 photos per category. Photos (maximum image size of 10MB each) can be emailed to competitions@holstein.com.au. Only include one photograph with each email along with the following information:

• Entrant name
• Membership number
• Category being entered
• Photo title
• Prefix (if applicable)
• Sub-branch.

Please ensure you read the Holstein Australia Member Photo Competition Terms and Conditions below prior to entry. Holstein Australia will confirm receipt of all entries via email within 48 hours. If you do not receive confirmation of your entry please contact the office on 03 9835 7600.
