Holstein Highlights heads west
SAVE THE DATE! It’s been a long time coming but Holstein Highlights, the Association’s National Awards dinner, is finally heading out west this year with four days of activities planned from Monday 18th to Thursday 21st September.
The location will be the tourist destination of Bunbury on the southwest coast, a central point between many well-known names to Holstein Australia members – Katandra Park, Roblynne, Carenda, Angi Bros, Treeton and Moonaralla amongst others.
While not quite three years in the making, the Associations 2020 National Awards Dinner and AGM was due to take place in WA before the full ramifications of COVID hit.
At the forefront of bringing Holstein Highlights to the West is WA Regional Chair Lachlan Fry and Holstein Australia Board member Phil Hall and wife Suzanne.
Both families have a long running association with Holstein Australia and are excited to showcase not just the dairy side of Western Australia but also some of the most spectacular scenery our great country has to offer.
Look out for our interview with Lachlan and the Hall’s in the next issue of Australian Holstein Journal taking a deep dive into the Katandra Park and Roblynne family businesses.
“A visit to our region is something I know is on a lot of people’s wish list, so this is a great opportunity to come across and experience WA hospitality firsthand,” says Lachlan. “We’re working with the HA office on pulling the final program together but already have herd visits to Carenda Holsteins and Angi Bros locked in.
“We’re also looking to include some family-friendly options as the week of Holstein Highlights coincides with the Spring school holidays in Victoria and Queensland, and Bunbury is one of our prime tourist destinations.”
More news to come! Keep an eye on Holstein Australia’s socials for more news in the next couple of weeks. Decided to lock it in already? Send us an email to let us know and we’ll make sure you receive the full program in your inbox later this month.
