TUESDAY, 19TH SEPTEMBER - THURSDAY, 21st SEPTEMBER 2023
Holstein Australia is heading to Bunbury, Western Australia for its Annual General Meeting and Awards Dinner this September as part of Holstein Highlights 2023.
West Australian Regional Chair, Lachlan Fry, says that interstate visitors can expect a warm welcome from WA members and a program that showcases the best of Bunbury and surrounding regions, some great restaurants and wineries and some prime WA herds.
“Our members are really excited to be hosting HA members from around the country for this year’s Holstein Highlights,” says Lachlan. “We’ve pulled together a great program with visits to Carenda and Angelis Holsteins, a great venue for the National Awards dinner - Bunbury’s Dolphin Discovery Centre overlooking Koombana Bay - and visits to some great wineries and attractions at the top end of the Margaret River region.
“I’m hoping some members can tag a few days on to the end of their trip to really experience all that this great part of our state has to offer. It’s a great opportunity to get off farm - something we all need and don’t get to do often - and do something a little bit different with likeminded people.”
Book through Holstein Australia to receive a discounted accommodation rate at the Mantra Hotel Bunbury (formerly Quality Lighthouse Hotel) from Monday 18th September onwards, with the official Holstein Highlights program kicking off the next day with a visit to Carenda Holsteins. Airport transfers can also be arranged.

What can you expect when you arrive in Bunbury?
Situated on a peninsula, Bunbury is known as the City of Three Waters, making it an aquatic playground. There’s the rumbling surf of the Indian Ocean to the west, the calm waters of Koombana Bay and the tranquil Leschenault Inlet.
Once seen as just an industrial port, the City has received an injection of edgy boutiques, intimate wine bars and top-notch restaurants, mostly thanks to a group young entrepreneurs who decided to transform their city into a place they wanted to work and play, in recent years.
And look out for the region’s famous bottlenose dolphins from the outside bar and deck of Dolphin Discovery Centre during the National Awards pre-dinner drinks!
Family Friendly Options
With Holstein Highlights taking place at school holiday time for Queensland and Victorian members, Holstein Australia has added some family friendly options to the program and kids’ meal options are also available.
