IDW chats with HA’s Gino Pacitti
Holstein Australia Board Director and BDCC Chair Gino Pacitti is set to feature in this week’s episode of the International Dairy Week (IDW) podcast Around the Barn.
In the upcoming show, Mr Pacitti chats with podcast host Casey Treloar about the impacts that COVID-19 has had on the dairy industry and discusses Youth and the wider Holstein Community.
Mr Pacitti said Holstein Australia has recently set up a Youth Action Committee to recommend and develop more locally based programs.
“We want to ensure Holstein Australia is meeting the needs of younger members by providing them with skills, leadership and career based development opportunities” said Mr Pacitti.
He reflected that since the pandemic hit, it will have been two years since the Australian dairy industry has been able to hold any national event, the last being IDW in 2020.
“We are really looking forward to holding a member event at IDW to bring everyone back together at last” said Mr Pacitti.
In this week’s podcast, Ms Treloar will also announce IDW’s 2022 Holstein Judge later in the show.
“It’s very exciting and we also have some international flare this week as we chat with our featured guest AI industry specialist Roger Turner from Jetstream Genetics in anticipation of the 2021 World Dairy Expo” said Ms Treloar.
