Leanne Summerville announced Classification Tour Coordinator
Holstein Australia’s longstanding Classifier Leanne Summerville has stepped back into the role of Classification Tour Coordinator.
Leanne’s decision was taken last month to wind back her hours after what has been a very challenging 18 months.
“It’ll give the guys the chance to take on new opportunities and challenges” said Leanne.
She will be available Monday and Thursday and her duty is now primarily contacting members and putting together the classification schedule for each state and region. Calls will be diverted on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays to John Crowther who will be filling Leanne’s shoes on her days off.
“I want members to know that I’m not deserting them. I’m stepping back from the front line but I’m only a phone call away – I’ll still be around for a chat” said Leanne.
Leanne started classifying for Holstein Australia in mid 2009. In 2017, Leanne took on the role of Classification Tour Coordinator for a number of years after the retirement of Richard Anderson before relinquishing the role to John Crowther.
Holstein Australia CEO Rohan Butler said “Leanne has the perfect skill set along with a high level of experience and inherent knowledge and she understands the nuances of scheduling classifiers which is extremely valuable and important to this job”.
Leanne is now taking classification bookings for the 30th of August and beyond. Pick up the phone and give her a call today to book your classification visit.
