Murribrook Holsteins Sale
Today sees the Milking Herd Dispersal Sale of Master Breeder Murribrook Holsteins on-farm in Moss Vale NSW and online via Elite Livestock Auctions.
Sires from Murribrook have had a major impact in dairy herds throughout Australia with the AI sire MBSL becoming one of the nation’s most well-known bulls. Murribrook has also imported live females and embryos from Canada, breeding and developing some of Australia’s great cow families featuring the greatest maternal lines from around the world.
Among the lots selling are seventeen EX cows, twenty-two VG as heifers to VG 88 and a further fifty-nine on VG to 89 along with thirty-nine selling from dams on EX to 95.
Production has always been a Murribrook priority - lots with records to 13,962 litres, 480 kgs protein, 636 kgs fat, with dams over 18,000 litres, 674 kgs protein and 878 kgs fat. Many animals are selling PTIC to sexed semen.
In the ring Murribrook Holsteins has had no less than forty-four Champions at the Sydney Royal, been Premier Breeder fifteen times Premier Exhibitor sixteen times. At IDW they have won several Champions and six Exhibitor and Breeder Banners. Murribrook bred animals have also won many Champions at IDW, Melbourne, Brisbane and Hobart Royals for their new owners.
