Points to online success
Western Victorian Breeders Ian and Karen McKie of The Points Holsteins held a very successful online sale last month featuring autumn calved cows and heifers.
Leading up to the sale, prospective buyers were able to view the stock on farm at The Points Pinnacle Sale Open Day, held two days prior to the online auction.
Buyers were also provided with an opportunity to start pre-bidding online from 2pm on the open day.
The Auction was conducted virtually from the DLS office through the Elite Livestock Auctions platform while the cows remained on the farm.
Topping the sale at $5,800 was The Points Megasire Pam VG86. She is a young cow bred from the famed Carmar Pam family who sold to Emu Banks Holsteins of B & J Dickson of Terang. The same buyers also handpicked 2 year old The Points Undenied Hoppy GP84 for $4,400.
