Preview of all things IDW 2024!
It's International Dairy Week time!
We love this time of year as it is such a special opportunity for us to connect with a range of members and to celebrate their achievements in the show ring at Australia's premier dairy show!
Congratulations to the 76 Holstein members exhibiting across 3 shows, representing New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria. There are over 400 Holstein cows entered in the 2024 International Dairy Week and we wish each and every exhibitor the very best of luck.
HOLSTEIN AUSTRALIA YOUTH CHALLENGE
We are thrilled to welcome over 120 young people to participate in the 2024 Holstein Australia Youth Challenge as they showcase their fitting, handling and judging skills.
Head along to the Blackmore and Leslie Complex from 11am on Sunday, 14th January to check out the live action or follow along on the Holstein Australia Facebook page for updates!

You are invited to attend the wonderful Holstein Australia member BBQ, to be held in Wilson Hall on Wednesday, 17th January from 5.00pm. POWER OF WOMEN IN DAIRYING DINNER
The Annual Power of Women in Dairying Dinner will be held in Wilson Hall on Tuesday, 16th January from 7.30pm and is great value for just $12 per ticket. Get tickets here.
This event serves as a fundraiser for the Power of Women in Dairying World Dairy Expo Scholarship and is a wonderful networking opportunity.
The guest speaker for this year's event is Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) Donor and Partnerships Director - Georgie Herbert. For many years, Georgie was inspired by her Mum Mandy's journey with Ovarian Cancer - a disease which currently has no detection test and claims the life of 1 Australian woman ever 8 hours.
Also speaking is Emmalea Wishart of Rowlands Park Holsteins, who will share her experience at World Dairy Expo 2023 - and what a passionate and inspired young woman she is!
And finally, the 8th recipient of the Bette Hall Award will be revealed - so why not gather together your friends and family and come along for a fun and relaxing night amongst the madness of IDW!
