Registered bull listings free on Verified Holsteins

Registered bulls can now be listed for free on Verified Holsteins Online, the new service launched by Holstein Australia earlier this year where members can market and sell cattle direct with buyers nationwide.

Holstein Australia CEO, Rohan Butler, says: “This is a great opportunity for Holstein Australia members. Quality herd bulls are always in demand, but often it depends on what you know and who you know to track down the best animals.

“By opening up Verified Holsteins Online to free registered bull listings, we’re planning to create a single source or one-stop-shop showcasing the best bulls out there for sale. We know from proof runs that HA members are breeding some of the best bulls out there, so it will also give us the opportunity to promote these animals and members to a much wider audience.”

Once listed, purchasers can browse all listings or search for bulls that meet their breeding objectives by BPI, ABV, specific traits or pedigree and then contact the seller or their agent direct.

Holstein Australia can also work directly with member’s agents, listing registered animals in forthcoming sales. This provides an easy way for people interested in the sale to search on their phone or computer for animals that meet their specific criteria using the Verified Holsteins Online smart filters.

For females, registered Holsteins cost $15 per animal inclusive of transfer fee (a saving of $5.00 off the scheduled fee). Females eligible for registration cost $25 per animal, which includes the cost of registration and transfer fee (a saving of $8.00 off the scheduled fee).

All that is needed to get your listing live is each animal’s herdbook number and some good photographs to help Holstein Australia promote your animals. We’ll do the rest.
