Judges’ comments: Tremendous heifer to win this class, so much power and length. She goes over 2nd on her silkiness of hide and length over 2nd. 2nd over 3rd this heifer shows greater strength of head and length of neck. This 3rd heifer attracted all the judges for her openness and dairy character. She goes over 4th on the cleanness throughout. 4th over 5th just cleaner again. 5th over 6th. We admire the front end of this heifer and that’s where she wins over 6th who has a tremendous blending of neck on to the shoulder back onto the rib cage.

Judges’ comments: Two cows head this class which we feel are beautiful examples of the breed. The winner we feel just shows a little more cleanness and Dairy character throughout. 2nd over 3rd was on her snugness of udder and better shape of teat. 3rd over 4th wins on strength through her front end. The judges enjoyed the challenge of placing the 4th cow given the angle of shot. The heifer in the 4th, we admire for her scale capacity and quality of udder. She goes over 5th on being better balanced who shows more capacity of udder over 6th. 5th also shows more capacity through her mid-section and snugness of udder.

Judges’ comments: What a tremendous class of 3 yr olds. 25 entries in total had our judges thinking. The winner quickly made her way to the top. This cow displays so much dairy strength, balance and capacity of udder. She places over our 2nd cow having greater strength and more spring and depth of fore rib. This 2nd cow has quite an advantage over the 3rd for her cleanness and quality throughout, showing more bloom to her udder. 3rd over 4th wins on capacity of rear udder. 4th over 5th shows more strength than 5th. 5th over 6th shows greater dairy character, openness of rib and breed character through the head. A tremendous class of cows.
