Special General Meeting update
On Friday 28th July, a Special General Meeting was held at the head office of Holstein Australia with members attending online to vote on proposed changes to the Associations committee structure.
Voting on the resolutions put forward at the meeting resulted in the removal of the Strategic Directions Committee; which had been comprised of representatives from each region.
Holstein Australia would like to take this opportunity to thank the past members as well as the current members of the Strategic Directions Committee for their input in the transition process.
A new Member Advisory Committee will now be formed, consisting of a representative from each sub-branch.
Participation in the Member Advisory Committee is not compulsory for sub-branches and meeting will be held online where possible to reduce travel and time off farm.
The sub-branch representative can be an office bearer of the sub-branch or a general member; they just need to be appointed at a sub-branch meeting.
We will be in contact with sub-branches to ascertain who they are nominating as their representative, with an agenda and first meeting to be held later this year.
