Tomargo Recluse tops $11,500
Tomargo Recluse Holsteins staged their 2021 Sale on-farm last month in Dubbo, NSW.
The NSW breeders offered 232 young Holsteins featuring many daughters of DeltaLambda, Chief, King Doc, Dewars, Secretariat, Brigham, Callen, Sidekick, Boorman, Mafia, Feer, Bradnick, Unix, Sunlight and Solomon.
Topping the sale at $11,500 was the recently classified Excellent, Tomargo Recluse Solomon Whynot; she is a rising 5 year old who won the 4 year old class at the 2021 Sydney Royal and sold in-calf to sexed Arrow.
She was purchased by Victorian buyers Munden Farms of Nilma North who also selected several lots including Tomargo Recluse Fevs Starbaby, VG87 for $6,400.
The second highest price was paid for the outstanding 2 year old, Tomargo Recluse Kingdoc Starbaby who recently classified VG85. She sold for $10,000.
The tremendous-uddered 6 year old, Tomargo Recluse Bradnick Jackio EX91, 2E, bred from the noted Avonlea Jacobonia family went under the hammer at $8,800 to Gorbro Holsteins.
Eagles P/ship of Gooloogong, NSW selected the VG 2 year old Delta Lambda heifer, Tomargo Recluse Lambda Tanya at $6,500.
Victorian breeder Peter Fullerton purchased several top lots including Tomargo Recluse Byway Pagen, backed by 9 generations of VG dams for $6,000 and Tomargo Recluse Byway Starbaby for $5,500.
M Hassett of Singleton, NSW returned to select a handful of cows including Tomargo Recluse 1st Sue, VG for $6,000, Tomargo Solom Gina, VG87 for $5,500 and Tomargo Recluse Brad Starbaby, backed by 9 gens of VG for $5,250.
Tomargo Recluse Goldliberty Ally sold at $5,250. The Goldsun 4 year old milking 50 litres was bought by P Clarke of Ladysmith, NSW.
The sale averaged $3,920 and selling agents DLS report buyers from across Victoria and NSW.
