WA hosts Holstein Highlights
The WA Region of Holstein Australia hosted the Association’s AGM and National Awards dinner in Bunbury late September.
Billed as ‘Holstein Highlights’, 80 Holstein Australia members, guests and a strong representation of WA breeders toured the local region, with many visiting well known Holstein studs Carenda and Angelis Holsteins.
Two WA breeders, Treeton and Brampton Park, were awarded their double Master Breeder award. The Holstein Australian Master Breeder Award recognises the long-term achievement of individuals, with criteria including having bred at least 300 registered animals over a minimum of 20 years.
Suzanne Hall of Halls Family Dairy and Roblynne Holsteins, received the Association’s Distinguished Service Award. This award acknowledges individuals who have given valuable service to the Association at local and regional level over a sustained period.
Holstein Highlights was supported by Farmwest, Western Dairy, LAWD Real Estate, Genetics Australia and Worldwide Sires.
