Wildwood Dairies First Stage Dispersal tops $6,500
Dairy Farmers throughout Victoria and NSW bid freely on the outstanding offering at the First Stage Complete Dispersal Sale of Deb Parkes, Wildwood Dairies in Lardner, Gippsland.
The 92 Holsteins on offer grossed an impressive $324,300 with a sale average of $3,525.
Topping the sale at $6,500 was Jacob Park Monterey Polkadot who sold to K Matieson of Trafalgar. The sale topper is a 4 year old from an 8th generation EX and VG Shottle dam from the famed Eagle Ridge Polkadot family.
The same buyer also took home Dumbarton Kenosha Patsy for $5,000. She is a 4 year old backed by leading sires Dorcy, Forbidden, Mark Sam and Leader.
The top selling commercial cow was a 2nd lactation cow by Sunlight who sold to M & J Winter of Warragul South for $5,100. The same buyers also snapped up several other top lots including a 3 year old CBSamite for $4,300.
Rob Glover of Katandra West in Northern Victoria selected a tremendous line of cows including a 3 year old CBSamite from a Deceiver dam milking 50 litres for $4,750.
W Davy of Yanakie paid $4,700 for 2 year old heifer STGFondoo milking over 40 litres.
The sale was conducted by selling agents Dairy Livestock Services and Elite Livestock Services.
